Quick Thoughts on Bali

Even though it took nearly 2 days and 30 hours of flying to get here, I have to say it was absolutely worth it.  The place is simply magical.  Our stay in the jungle (Ubud) at the Four Seasons at Sayan was one of the best overall hotel stays either of us have ever had.  The property (a few pics below) is so special the pictures don't do it justice.  Everything from the location to our villa to the food and service was pretty much perfect.

After three great days in Ubud, we left yesterday around noon for the St. Regis in Nusa Dua.  While definitely a different vibe, this property is excellent as well.  It is certainly less "Balinese" than Ubud.  We had also heard/read that the beach wasn't that pretty but we really enjoyed our first few hours there yesterday.  The room isn't as big but is beautifully appointed and the outdoor space (where I'm writing this) is amazingly private.

I'll have a full trip report for each segment over the next few weeks but wanted to share some initial thoughts and pictures.
