I'm going slightly out of order here (skipping the "exploring Bali" post) in order to finish this series as soon as possible.  After a great escort from the curb to immigration, we found ourselves airside with a couple of hours to kill.  The Bali airport opened in 2013 and it is gorgeous.  We enjoyed the architecture (the exterior is designed to mimic the ocean and the mountains of the island) and the decor inside.

They are in the midst of building a gorgeous (at least from the renderings) new lounge but only the temporary lounge was open when we were there.  That was totally fine as we were able to find a few comfortable chairs and grab some water.  Emily had a massage in the lounge (I think it was $5) and we relaxed until our flight was called.

Our ride to Singapore

Singapore Airlines operates one of their older 777s with purple recliner seats for this route.  For a two hour flight, you really can't beat them.  They are worn but still comfortable.  We enjoyed several glasses of Champagne prior to takeoff and soon we were thundering down the runway.
Happy wife, happy life

The flight was largely uneventful.  We enjoyed a quick meal, more Champagne, and a couple of TV shoes on our own devices prior to landing.  Emily is a huge shipping container fan and the approach to Singapore is probably the best "shipping-con" approach in the world.

Not bad for a two hour flight

We were soon on the ground in Singapore and headed to a long immigration queue before grabbing a cab to the Conrad.
