Aircraft:  777-300ER
Seats:  11D/11F

We spent an hour or so in the Singapore Airlines Krisflyer business class lounge before heading to the gate.  The lounge was fine - big, crowded, and with lots of seating areas.  But nothing spectacular so I'm going to skip over the review.  We made our way to security (which is done at each gate in Singapore) and were in the secure boarding gate area within minutes.

It was morning rush hour as SIN and there was a lot of SQ traffic moving about the airfield.

Our ride to Tokyo

Boarding for our 8:05AM flight was called and we were soon aboard settling in to seats 11D and 11F.  Located in the "mini" business class cabin (behind first class) with only two rows of seats, this definitely felt much more intimate than the larger section behind us with 34 seats.  The bulkhead provided a bit of extra room and privacy as well.

I was hoping we might end up with the refreshed business class cabin but that wasn't the case.  Regardless, these seats are certainly comfortable for a 6 hour daytime flight.  Plenty of room, power, great entertainment system, and friendly flight attendants.

We stored our bags and settled in as more socks, eyeshades, and slippers were distributed.

We pushed back around 8AM and were soon up in the air cruising towards Tokyo.

Here's the breakfast menu from today's flight.  Breakfast was totally fine - just nothing to write home about.

And the wine list.

I watched a few episodes of Mr. Robot on my computer before dozing off for a quick nap.  We touched down at Tokyo's Haneda airport a few minutes early and headed towards fast track immigration, our bags, and a cab into Tokyo!

Final Thoughts:
We love Singapore Airlines but this flight (and our flight from Male to Singapore) were fine.  Nothing spectacular.  Seats were comfortable although a bit outdated.  Flight attendants friendly although busy and the service was anything but memorable.  The daytime flight worked out though - we didn't have to wakeup too early and we landed in Tokyo at a reasonable time.  In fact, we were at the Andaz by 5:15PM with plenty of daylight left to enjoy the amazing view from the Andaz!
